I was there for lunch on St Stephen's Day, more commonly known as Boxing Day elsewhere. The location is to die for, the service is excellent. There is a play area for children. Every one gets served the menu of the day, a full course Italian meal with appetizers, prima, secondo, dolce. All this at €35 per person.
La Cerra is a sea of tranquillity, 6 km from Tivoli. Access road is a bit bumpy, but if you arrive, there is a large restaurant, nice lodges, playground, and a large pool, while horses and chickens are nearby. We loved it. Reception is friendly and a wonderful breakfast included...
I'm sure this is a lovely place to stay in nice weather if the restaurant and bar are open. But with the restaurant and other facilities closed it's not great. The guy at check in was about as helpful as a chocolate teapot. No coffee in the room, small shower but all clean. The lady who served us at breakfast was a star and the guy who checked us out seemed nice. But to avoid disappointment for future guests i'd suggest they don't take room guests if the facilities are shut.
The place is very nice. There 's pleanty of space for children and a wonderful playground. The kids' animation is great and nice. The food is very good and the wine is great. We had a great time, even if the weather has been raining all the time! Nice time
The room was large and clean. It was very quiet. We only stayed one night. One would need to stay a couple of nights to experience all they have to offer. Be prepared to order dinner off a menu in all Italian. Dinner tasted great. The room was on the cold side when we arrived. We went and asked the management to turn the heat up and my wife felt the manager was a little on the grumpy side about turning up the heat. They block control of the heat for the room.
My daughter had her wedding reception here in September and many of us stayed on a couple of days. The reception was fantastic - fabulous and more than abundant food, music and dancing from lunchtime through to 11 pm. Great wine and rooms with unbeatable rooms - at around €40 per person per night. Would recommend it to anyone.
I stayed at this "agriturismo" for one night with my family, while traveling inbound Naples. Nice place in the countryside, on the hills behind Rome. Kind of tough to find without a navigator, but then we enjoyed the quiet landscape and the …
We stayed here prior to going to Hadrian's villa - only 9km away. The room & bed & bath & views were superb & beyond all expectations, as was the incredible breakfast ( for 5 euros each - a huge plate of hams & cheeses with juice; cappuchinos & a tray of pastries & cereals & yoghurt if wanted) the best deal this side of the Atlantic. Hugely recommended.
